2026 GP7 ASIA CHALLENGEAPPLICATION CLOSURE AND SELECTION UPDATE
30 August 2026
The application period for the 2026 GP7 Asia Challenge officially closed today, 30 August 2026.
We are pleased to announce that a total of 25 riders, representing at least 17 nationalities across four FIM Continental Unions, submitted applications for this year’s event:
- FIM Asia: 16 applicants
- FIM Africa: 2 applicants
- FIM Europe: 5 applicants
- FIM North America: 2 applicants
We sincerely thank every rider who applied for the 2026 GP7 Asia Challenge. We also extend our formal appreciation to the respective FMNs, organizations, teams, coaches, and individual recommenders who supported the applicants and submitted recommendations on their behalf.
For the 2026 event, 16 motorcycles will be available, including three entries allocated as wild cards. Due to the strong level of international interest and the limited number of available places, the selection process will require careful consideration.
The final selection will be jointly conducted by FIM Asia, FOMS Korea, and OHVALE. To ensure a balanced and internationally representative starting grid, the three parties will place particular emphasis on each applicant’s nationality, age, and the overall geographic and nationality diversity of the final rider lineup. The completeness of the required application and recommendation documents will also be taken into consideration.
The final selection results will be communicated individually to all applicants by the end of Tuesday, 1 September 2026.
We wish every applicant the very best of luck. To those who may not be selected this year, we sincerely appreciate your interest and hope to welcome your application again for the 2027 GP7 Asia Challenge.
Thank you once again for your enthusiasm, trust, and support.
Sincerely,
2026 GP7 Asia Challenge Organizing Committee
