Origins & Championship History The FIM Asia Cup originated in 2005 through a proposal by Japan to enhance Asian riders’ skills and promote international exchange under the Asian Association (now FIM Asia). The inaugural Asian National Team Championship launched at the Thailand Circuit in 2006, later renamed the UAM Cup in 2008 before taking its current title as the FIM Asian Cup. In 2024, Thailand hosted a dedicated female-only round to support the FIM Women in Motorcycling Commission (CFM).

In this national team format, host organizers provide race bikes, track support, domestic transport, and lodging, while visiting teams bring safety gear and cover airfare. Teams field up to two representative riders, utilizing a reverse-point scoring structure where lower total points indicate higher rankings.

Off-Track Festival & Fan Experience Beyond the competitive track action, attendees can experience the R2M Showdown Festival, featuring:

  • A 3-day motorcycle exhibition from official R2M partners.
  • A BBQ and Singha Beer Garden at the circuit venue.
  • Full livestream coverage on the official R2M Facebook page.
