On this occasion, the Board addressed many topics, in particular the following:

Sport: All disciplines were discussed with a focus on the E-Xplorer World Cup promoter, the extension of the Hard Enduro World Championship promotion contract, the X-Trial promotion contract and the EBK World Cup. For the first time ever, electric motorcycles were allowed to compete alongside internal combustion engine motorcycles in the SuperEnduro World Championship. Revised and new team licence fees as well as calendar fees were agreed on and will be submitted to the next General Assembly for ratification. The Board accepted to extend the deadline of two years for Quads competing in World Championships/Cup to comply with the FIM sound regulations. The success of the first edition of the FIM Intercontinental Games (ICG) was stressed, a biennial sporting competition with continental teams which took place from 29 November to 1 December 2024 in Jerez de la Frontera (Spain). Discussions related to the next edition were held. Safety of riders being the utmost priority for the FIM, the Board reiterated its position to ban any circuit racing competition taking place on non-homologated circuits and roads (with group departure) and recommends FMNs and CONUs to adopt the same position.

Situation in Ukraine: The Board of Directors reiterated its sympathy and solidarity with all those suffering, as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. After having carefully considered the situation, the Board once again confirmed the decisions made during its extraordinary meeting on 5 March 2022. The FIM will continue to monitor the evolution of the situation, taking into account the specificity of motorcycle sport.

Finance: The 2024 closing and 2025 forecast, both reflecting the sound financial situation of the FIM, were shared with the Board.

FIM Academy: The recently launched FIM Future Leaders Programme, a transformative journey designed for high-potential employees destined to leadership roles within FMNs welcomes already 20 participants (10 women, 10 men) in 2025.

Liaison with FMNs/CONUs: The Board agreed to withdraw the sporting power of the Federación Paraguaya de Motociclismo (FEPAM) and decided to temporarily delegate this sporting power to the Federación de Motociclismo de Paraguay (FEMOP) until the next General Assembly. FIM Latin America’s revised Statutes were approved while FIM Asia’s revised Statutes were ratified by the Board. An update on the FMN/CONU liaison initiatives and activities such as webinars, guidebook for FMNs and the #FIMunites programme was shared. The next FMN & CONU Secretaries General Meeting will take place in September at the Merton College in Oxford (UK) and will be hosted by the Auto-Cycle Union (ACU).

Marketing and Digital: Social media trends, together with an overview of the main 2024 digital figures, marketing reports with a special focus on TrialGP and the Intercontinental Games as well as key information related to the FIM-moto.tv were presented to the Board.

Racing Motorcycle Museum: Transformation works are in progress and the content of the future museum is currently being defined. The grand opening of the museum, to be managed by the International Foundation for Motorcycling (IFM), will take place in the presence of the World Champions in the framework of the 2025 FIM Awards on 6 December 2025. The logo of the museum was revealed.

Amendments to Codes and Regulations: The Board approved amendments to the Medical Code and to the Anti-doping Code.

International Foundation for Motorcycling (IFM): A brief presentation of the Foundation Board meeting that took place on 7 December 2024 in Palma (Mallorca, Spain) was given. The main topics were the approval of the 2025 budget as well as activities which will be supported throughout 2025, the main one being the upcoming Racing Motorcycle Museum.

Commissions and List of Judges: Commissions Directors had the opportunity to share their main projects and concerns with the Board. The following changes were made to the composition of the Commissions and List of Judges:
