Collaboration Talks with MFJ and Suzuka City
On 2 August, the delegation toured key Suzuka Circuit facilities, observed official practice sessions, pit walks, and team operations of the 8 Hours Endurance Race, gaining in-depth insights into Japan’s race management systems.
On 3 August at 1 p.m., Ueno, Manager from Honda Mobilityland, delivered a detailed briefing on circuit operations and sustainability. Inje Speedium CEO Jeong-min Lee noted, “We are inspired by the concept of a multi-themed park that integrates regional economic development with circuit operations. This serves as a strong benchmarking model for us.”
Later that day, the group visited Suzuka City Hall for an official meeting with Mikio Goto, Director of Commercial Tourism Policy in the Department of Industrial Promotion. MFJ President Teseo Suzuki also attended. Discussions focused on the public-private cooperation framework between Suzuka City and Suzuka Circuit, and its substantial economic impact. Korean representatives emphasized the importance of similar policy linkages between local governments and racetracks.
MFJ Secretary General Fujioka remarked, “We have a deep understanding of the structural and administrative environment of motorcycle sports in Korea, and MFJ is willing to actively pursue practical cooperation and technical exchange.”

The FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) President Jorge Viegas made a special courtesy visit to meet the KMF delegation, advising that “KMF should take a more strategic approach to hosting FIM-sanctioned international competitions in Asia and to fostering youth development.”
Vice President Yoon Soo-nyung responded, “This visit marks a starting point for KMF’s internationalization strategy. As part of our preparations to invite the FIM President to Korea and to host an official FIM-sanctioned competition in the future, we are working to organize an international exchange event with participation from at least three countries.”
